Welcome to the team Jen!
Have you lived in the Joplin or surrounding community?
I have made Joplin my home for the last 24 years after moving here to attend Ozark Christian College.
Have you worked with the non-profit community?
I was the Founder and Executive Director of House of Hope Joplin for the past 8 years. Prior to House of Hope, I was the first employee of The Bridge, ending my time there as the Chief Financial Officer.
What is some recognition that comes with this work history you are proud to bring to the Alliance?
I was named one of the 15 Most Influential Women of 2010 by the Joplin Tri-State Business Journal. One of my most recognized endeavors was leading the post tornado back to school event I Am Joplin.
What are your hobbies or favorite things to do when not at work?
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as watching movies, playing games & working puzzles.
What do you enjoy the most about the non-profit sector?
I love working with youth and their families. It brings me such joy seeing them brought to a more healthy state, physical and mental, and I can’t wait to start this new adventure with The Alliance and continue to make a difference in our community.
