Through Multiple Prevention Programs
The Alliance of Southwest Missouri is one of 20 Community Partnerships in the state of Missouri. We exist to improve the health and safety of children and families. The Alliance offers activities, programs, and initiatives to our four-county service are which includes: Jasper, Newton, Barton, and McDonald County.
Our Programs
Preventing childhood injury by providing education over car seats, car passenger safety, distracted driving, fire safety, and bicycle and pedestrian safety.
Addressing issues that directly affect are teens; including substance abuse prevention and mentoring services for at-risk youth.
Promoting early childhood development through education and support for state-contracted childcare providers.
Impacting child care quality by providing education, support, consultation, and technical assistance to early childhood professionals who care for infants and toddlers in SWMO.
Promoting safe driving practices through our defensive driving classes and behind-the-wheel driving lessons.
Promoting youth participation in healthy extracurricular activities by assisting families with related expenses.
Encouraging healthy families by providing opportunities for parenting education and support.
Mobilizing at the local level to make our community safer, healthier, and drug free.
