Community Coalitions
Community Coalitions
Protecting communities, preventing harm.
Through collaboration, assessments, and evidence-based strategies, we work together to keep our communities safe, healthy, and drug free. We’d love to have you at our table.
What are Community Coalitions?
Community Coalitions utilize CADCA’s 7 Strategies for Community Change to enhance protective factors, mitigate risk factors, and prevent substance misuse. Our strategies include providing information, building skills, providing support, enhancing access/reducing barriers, changing consequences, addressing physical design, and modifying policies.
How do Community Coalitions help?
By finding grassroots solutions for locally identified issues, such as youth substance misuse, each coalition unites youth, parents, schools, and others to address the specific needs of the community it serves.
