Safe Cribs

What is Safe Cribs?

Safe Cribs is a program funded by the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Service and Children’s Trust Fund. This program provides
full-size portable cribs for qualifying families. Parents are provided information on safe sleep for their babies, and infants are provided a safe place to sleep. The overall goal of this program is to save infant lives and support families.

How to apply

  1. The mother must be at 35 weeks gestation or no more than three months postpartum.

  2. The application must be completed. Eligibility is determined by need as listed on the application. (Application is found below)

  3. You must agree to 2-3 home visits if eligible to receive a crib. Information will be provided on the crib setup and safe sleep. The initial visit will be held at the time of crib delivery. The second visit will take place 4-6 weeks postpartum or after delivery of the crib.
