Newton County Community Coalition
Overview
We strive to prevent drug and alcohol abuse and other risky behaviors among youth through collaboration, education, empowerment, early intervention, and community transformation efforts throughout Newton County.
Our Mission
Empower community efforts throughout Newton County through networking within the community to help create a safer and more productive environment
What you’ll do as a volunteer:
- Take part in monthly meetings.
- Organize community events.
- Collaborate with community partners to facilitate change and help prevent youth substance misuse.
Goals & Objectives:
- Educate and empower parents and community members to help make healthier decisions.
- Increase collaboration, education, and early intervention efforts that promote community engagement.
- Increase community awareness about the dangers of drinking and substance use/misuse and other risky behaviors among youth
Upcoming Meetings & Events
Meetings are currently held the 4th Tuesday of each month from 8:00am – 9:00am at Neosho Middle School. Breakfast is provided unless meeting virtual.
